Recorded at Jazzworx in Johannesburg, this sample pack is a deep dive into African Rhythms that span the entire continent by expert percussionist Tshepo Motswe. Now playing under the stage name CONGWERO, Tshepo Motswe got his start in 1997 in Kimberly in the Northern Cape of South Africa playing drums and percussion for dancers and actors in the theater. In 1999, he moved back to Johannesburg to enroll in the Tembisa jazz school at the Moses Molelekwa Arts Foundation, which was his entry point into the music industry. That led to him meeting the award-winning musician, Selaelo Selota who Motswe still plays with today. He’s also a session musician for artists all around the world. Largely inspired by Latin music, as heard in this pack, Motswe is the only South African endorsed by LP Music, the Latin Percussion instrument brand.
